It is with great awareness that in sustaining an environment–friendly planet, one has to start by being active in his/her own vicinity; hence, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion–Cebu is still on the road in achieving its goal of maintaining cleanliness around the school’s zone through the LIMPYO Cebu Program. Last October 21, the Grade 8–Fortitude students were around the CIC–Cebu block and took part in the said activity with the assistance of the Green Team, chosen CAT officers and CIC–LAMPs.

During the activity, the students of 8-Fortitude with the help of the CIC–LAMPs and the Green team actively participated in cleaning their assigned areas. Meanwhile, the CAT officers were in charge of checking the proper segregation of trash. Due to the participants’ eagerness in cleaning the area, it only took them 30 minutes to finish the activity thus made them contribute to the school’s advocacy of caring for God’s creation and in doing what is environmentally proper–may it be in school or in the different places outside the area. It helped them to be consciously aware of being eco–friendly at all times and at all places just like what Arthur Ashe once stressed, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
